F.A.Q.

What exactly is a Virtual Administrator?

A virtual administrator is generally a self-employed individual that provides professional administrative, technical, or creative (social) assistance to clients remotely from a home office. Virtual Administrators are independent contractors rather than employees so their clients are not responsible for any employee-related taxes, insurance or benefits. Clients also avoid the logistical problem of providing extra office space, equipment or supplies. Clients pay for 100% productive work.

How long have you been a Virtual Administrator?

I’ve been a VA since 2007 but I’ve been an Administrative Support Professional for over 15 years. I’ve worked in State Government, Fashion & Beauty, Entertainment, Healthcare and Education. I’ve held a number of positions including Administrative and Executive Assistant, Application Support Specialist and Desktop Support Specialist. I even spent a few years as a computer programmer. These have all given me with the skills and knowledge needed to provide my clients with first class service.

Who is the ideal client for 1VAM?

My ideal client is an independent professional. They have a service or product they are passionate and excited about and are driven to deliver that service or product to an ever widening audience. These are think-outside-of- the-box individuals who appreciate the collaborative nature of the client VA relationship. My ideal client enjoys the flexibility of working with a VA and is willing to delegate tasks to me and willing to rely on my expertise.

How is 1VAM different from other VA firms?

VAM specializes in working with entrepreneurs, professional speakers and coaches. We manage the administrative chores and marketing efforts that take you away from core activities which drive your bottom line. We work with you to develop a strategic plan that will move your business forward. Quite simply, we help you deliver better results to your prospects and customers by providing the back-end support you need — so you can focus on the activities that generate income for your business.

Is working with a Virtual Administrators expensive?

Compared to the cost of a conventional, on-site employee – No! Virtual Administrators are independent contractors, not employees so you never have to worry about taxes, insurance, benefits, vacation or sick pay. There’s no overhead for office space, furniture, equipment and supplies. You only pay for the time and services you need.
